Recently, a new device has appeared - Geekvape T200 - a mod with a screen diagonal of 2 , 4 inch, made in Tri-proof technology and with an output power of 200 W.
Sounds familiar? Yes, but it looks and functions differently.
So what are the differences between these devices?
In short: the Aegis X is a large screen mod with the first generation of Tri-proof technology with IP67 protection, while the Geekvape T200 is a modem with a large, full touch screen and designed with next generation Tri-proof technology providing IP68 protection. .

The T200 is produced in seven color variations: Silver, Black, Blackish Green, Navy Blue, Claret Red, Azure Blue and Rainbow.

The T200 is the first Geekvape production mod with a touchscreen. The front side of the device is almost entirely occupied by a 2.4-inch color screen, designed to ensure maximum comfort of use. On one of the sides of the device there is a Fire button and a USB-C socket. A mechanical interlock switch is mounted on the opposite side. The power supply batteries are secured with a tight flap located on the underside of the mod.

From the very first versions, the Aegis series devices have been designed to ensure their reliability and durability in the most difficult conditions. The T200 is no different. Thanks to the application of appropriate design assumptions, i.e. in this case Geekvape Tri-proof Tech technology of the second generation, the mod obtained increased resistance to mechanical damage caused by shocks and falls. The use of this technology also made it possible to meet the requirements for devices with the IP68 tightness class, i.e. complete protection against the ingress of water, dust and any other contaminants, both solid and liquid.

The device is controlled by a system with AS-Chip 3.0 chipset, which provides up to 200 watts of output power. The chipset has numerous security features to ensure proper operation of the mod and functions that enable the mod to operate in Smart, Power and Professional modes. Operating in Smart mode, the device automatically sets the optimal power level to ensure efficient operation and prevent premature wear of the heater. In Professional mode, the user has four sub-modes - TC-SS, TC-TCR, VPC and Bypass.

The T200 is equipped with a large 2.4-inch touchscreen with which the user can make any changes to the mod's settings. The way of navigating the screen menu is very similar to using a smartphone. Moving to a specific function is done with the use of swiping gestures or touching the screen. The surface of the screen is very sensitive to touch, so all operations can be performed with one hand.

To ensure the possibility of personalizing the user interface, the mod has been equipped with the ability to set one of four dynamic screen themes. You can choose one of the three available wallpapers for each theme. While vaping, some graphics are animated on the screen.

The Geekvape T200 comes in a stiff cardboard box with a sleeve. On its front side there is the company logo, a photo of the fashion and its name. The back side contains full information on product properties, package contents, manufacturer data, an authenticity sticker and warning pictograms.

The main feature of the T200 is the large color touchscreen. The mod does not have navigation buttons, because their functions have been taken over by icons. All the operations of selecting functions and making device settings are performed using gestures. The screen is very responsive and responds great to touch, without causing problems during use.
The location of the Fire button and the shape of the body make the device most convenient to use with the left hand.

The lower and upper part of the mod's body is finished with a rubber sealing element, which is also a protection in the event of impacts and falls. The slightly rounded profile of these elements fits visually perfectly with the shape of the body.
In the upper part of the mod, the atomizer plate with a 510 connector is attached with four screws.

On the side of the body there is an A-lock slider switch that blocks the possibility of changing settings and applying current to the atomizer heater. A simple and at the same time great solution for carrying a mod in a pocket, backpack or bag, preventing it from being accidentally started.
The A-lock switch is often referred to as mechanical. In fact, only its slider with a miniature magnet mounted on it is mechanical. The state changeover occurs as a result of the action of the magnetic field.

The back, rounded part of the mod is lined with a soft leather-like material, which not only has decorative qualities, but also increases the ergonomics of the device.

In the base of the device body there is a flap closing the battery compartment. The latch mechanism of the flap works reliably and the hinge does not have any play. Due to the applied sealing, quite a lot of pressure is required to release and lock the flap.

Modes of operation.

In addition to selecting via the menu, it is also possible to select the appropriate operating mode from the home screen. To select the appropriate mode, flick the screen left or right. This option is more convenient because it allows you to select the mode directly.

Power mode
Basic mode of operation. Tap the power control indicator to adjust its setting. Adjustable range: 5 - 200 W. Scroll down with your finger to increase the power. Scroll up with your finger to decrease the power.
Touch "OK" to save the adjustment parameters and return to the previous screen.

Smart Mode
The device automatically adjusts the best output power. The available output power range is determined automatically based on the heater resistance value.
When the heater resistance is 0.18 Ω or less, the available power adjustment range is 70-90W.
When the heater resistance is greater than 0.18 Ω and less than 0.25 Ω, the power control range is 70-85W.
When the heater resistance is greater than or equal to 0.25 Ω and less than 0.40 Ω, the power control range is 45-57W.
When the heater resistance is greater than or equal to 0.40 Ω, the power control range is 50-60W.
The user can adjust the output power within the recommended range by using the power indicator option.

Bypass mode
Power depends on the battery charge level and the heater resistance. The effective power will be higher when the batteries are fully charged and will decrease as the batteries discharge. Bypass mode does not disable the device's security features.

VPC Mode
This mode allows the user to adjust different power levels at set intervals, providing a power curve over the duration of the puff.
Touch the P1 section indicator to adjust the power. Scroll your finger up to decrease the power. Scroll down with your finger to increase the power.
The adjustable power range is 5-200W in 1W steps.
Touch "OK" to save the adjustment parameters and return to the previous screen.
Touch "Cancel" to return to the previous screen without saving changes.
Repeat the steps to adjust curve P2, P3, P4 and P5.

TC-TCR
mode This mode allows the user to set a specific temperature on any type of heater taking into account its temperature coefficient of resistance.

TC-SS mode
This mode allows the user to set a specific temperature on the stainless steel heater (SS).

Messages of protection systems.

Short circuit - atomizer resistance is lower than 0.08 Ω or the atomizer is short-circuited.
Low Voltage - this message indicates that the battery voltage is less than 3.3V at no load, or less than 2.85V while vaping. The message is displayed for a few seconds after you try to start the device.
Overheating -: message displayed when emergency shutdown of the device caused by exceeding the temperature of the system above 85 ℃. It can be restarted when the temperature drops below 65 ℃.
No Atomizer - no atomizer installed or the resistance of the atomizer is higher than 2.2 Ω
10s Cut-Off - a message informing about exceeding the maximum activation time of the mod (10 seconds of a single puff or accidental blocking of the Fire button).
Fire Locked - A-lock is on.

The T200 project proves that Geekvape is a company that cares about the development of its products. The new mod stands out not only from the competition. In terms of design, it also differs significantly from other devices of the Aegis line, although it retains their utility features and functionality. The durability of the large screen, which can be easily damaged in the event of impact, may raise doubts.
