Traditionally, we start our acquaintance with non-service, the model of which is not even indicated in the documentation / on the box. So, we are dealing with a rather large copy - to match the boxing fashion. The tank weighs like some single-can devices. The design is modest - the only embellishment is the traditional logo on the dome.
The tank is equipped with a simple plastic drip type of a standard 810 landing, moreover, in double quantity) In operation, it is quite normal - if changed, then only for aesthetic reasons. Gas station naturally top, fixing of a cover half-turn. The latter is quite reliable, the course of medium tightness, the risks are in fact “not needed”. The capacity for such dimensions is average - I assumed that it would be more. By the way, in the box there are two identical flasks - pot-bellied. With a "straight" glass, of course, the use of this atomizer is reduced to absurdity.
Contrary to the information from the official website, the non-service is equipped with a couple of replaceable evaporators of the M line. Both of them are sub-ohm, the heating elements of both are made in the form of a grid. In one case, this is one large grid, in the second, there are three smaller grids. The taste transfer of these specimens does not differ from other similar tanks - the average level. But for the bulk they can definitely be praised - a subwoofer is a subwoofer.
Adjustment of the tightening intensity is achieved by a removable swivel ring with a stopper, located immediately under the cover. By the way, in this way a useful non-spill construct is achieved. The course of the ring is very easy in some cases, the setting even goes astray. Of course, the atomizer has a free puff, although not a direct draft. Noise is moderate - not critical.
Finally, let's move on to boxing fashion. The design greets us painfully familiar - eco-leather decor, pressed by a removable metal molding. The case is wrapped in a silicone "shell" around the entire perimeter. Moreover, I draw your attention to this detail - now the rubber is used non-staining - rubbish from the word does not stick to it at all. Bravo! Well, let's not linger in this section - everything is, in general, almost standard here - except that a line was added to the back of the insert. The appearance is quite neat in my case - not at all vulgar - can be praised.
The dimensions of the “18650+” box mods are a separate issue, even more so for two-jar instances. Firstly, our hero can be praised for the variability in terms of the use of batteries, and, consequently, for the incredible autonomy. For this reason, the device has almost “giant” dimensions - it is understandable - something must be sacrificed. A decent weight naturally also did not take long. However, in fairness, I want to note that for such dimensions it is generally moderate - some 2x18650 analogues in metal version weigh even more. Ergonomics for such a “Gulliver” is quite normal, but I probably won’t praise it - somehow I can’t turn my tongue)))
Like all representatives of the Aegis line, our hero has protection against moisture/dust/rough handling according to the IP68 standard. By the way, here I want to note that this is perhaps the most protected in terms of shockproof copy of all that I had a chance to hold in my hands. In any case, the guest makes such an impression. The silicone case competently closes all edges and corners, the screen panel is recessed inside the case, etc. In general, we add another plus to the piggy bank of new items.
Let's move on to the next plus - landing margin. Of course, for such a powerful/autonomous device, it must be decent - the way it is - the maximum was limited to a value of 31mm. However, this inevitably entails other "problems" - small atomizers look scanty here. Moreover, I'm talking about a diameter of 24mm, to be sure about 22mm. There is no levitation, the landing pad is “not protected” from scratches, but its texture does not seem to favor the latter.
The control panel also has a cut familiar to the series. At the head of the table is a large start button oriented in a vertical plane. It is made again in the form of a "trigger" and it is quite pleasant and convenient to use it. The pressure is moderately elastic, the stroke is average, the click is pleasantly muffled. The display is color, the diagonal is increased in comparison with the standard value. The brightness is sufficient, moreover, customizable, the color scheme of the UI can be changed, the desktop design is normal. The settings keys are more clickable - in general, everything is in “openwork” here.
Separately, we dwell on other functional elements. The first of these is the physical lock slider that has become traditional for the line. Of course, a convenient thing, and most importantly, this lock is fast. There are only two positions - the absence of a block and a completely blocked device. The second element is a modern-style charging port. It gives out a current for such a device, in principle, fast, however, the value does not reach the declared 2A - the maximum I saw is 1.81A. The error is still less than 10%, therefore, this will not be noted in the minuses. The port is located at the top and is covered with a silicone plug - it is covered, not clogged - it seems to be waterproof. By the way, it is protected from liquid leaks, the plug holds confidently and uncorks without dancing with a tambourine.
Access to the battery compartment from below - there you can see a hinged cover with a lock slider. It is quite difficult to move the latter when the batteries inside are not critical. The adapters are quite large, moreover, there are, of course, two of them - when will manufacturers learn how to make them compact and thereby save at least some weight on weight. The lid is securely fixed; to support the protection protocol, it is lined with silicone at the junction with the case.
It remains to talk about the control chipset - it is, as usual, of its own design. The functionality on board is, without exaggeration, worthy - in addition to the usual wattage, thermal control with presets, setting of preheating “curves”, as well as bypass are available. Additional features include resistance blocking, brightness adjustment, desktop theme color change, stealth mode, puff counter and firmware update.
In operation, the box mod is quite normal for the average peasant - the resistance reads with a small error, it seems to fry honestly, it starts briskly, it discharges the battery to a value of 3.23V. The charge level is broadcast without a numerical value, but the indicators are quite informative. My only complaint is about the bypass board, which someone here called Boosting. It does not know how to work with high resistance - for example, it supplies 6.74V to 0.8Ω - it turns out to soar somehow "uncomfortably" (((But with low resistance - for example, 0.11Ω - it works in principle correctly.
Impressions
Naturally, I want to start with impressions about the dimensions - yes, whatever one may say, the device turned out to be large. However, let's see what is on the opposite side of the scale - unsurpassed autonomy, "real" shock/moisture protection, in principle, fairly fast charging, fast blocking, and of course, new non-staining silicone. At the exit we get a real one! "outdoor" box mod - in principle, this was required from this instance. Moreover, there are not so many such proposals now. There are no complaints about the quality, the appearance is brutally cute, the landing margin is space - and what else do you need?
However, the price for such an instance was not broken above the ceiling - quite a lifting price tag. Verdict - for those who are interested in this format, I strongly recommend taking a closer look. But to buy such a box mod and use it with a pair of 18650 does not make any sense, as for me ...
