Hello, dear Vapers and Vapers, here's another review that I'd like to share with you today. On the wallpaper, courtesy of @Sourcemore , is the POD GeekVape AN 2 Kit. I invite you to read.
My most recently reviewed piece of equipment was also a GeekVape product, the Wenax Q Mini. As for the contents of the box, it is almost identical, with one exception. In the box, apart from the device, in my case Polar Silver, there are two cartridges, a charging cable, waste paper and, additionally, a fancy lanyard. The lanyard is interesting because it is made of metal and weighs slightly less than the POD itself. Personally, I don't use a lanyard because my devices always have exclusive access to one of my pants pockets. Nevertheless, I appreciate the interesting addition. Now that I've got through the box, I'll now focus on the POD itself, because the first impression was quite nice. What will happen next remains to be seen. Initially, I thought that the POD was made of metal, but I'm not entirely sure because it is very light and the manufacturer does not specify on its website what the housing is made of. The workmanship is at an excellent level, the fit of the elements, the cartridge seating and the overall impression are really good. Additionally, there is an airflow slider on the casing, which is quite difficult to move and cannot move on its own in the pocket. There is also a display with all the necessary information and a fire button on the side of the device. The button works nicely with a soft click, a bit like the click of a computer mouse, but relatively quiet. It's worth focusing on it, because this device does not offer auto draw! The device's menu is poor, there are no modes, only resetting the puff counter and locking the button. Interestingly, the POD offers a maximum power of 30W but the adjustment range is automatically limited depending on the heater inside. I currently have 1.2 ohms and the POD allows a range from 9W to 14W.
The cartridge itself offers top fill after removing the mouthpiece, it has a slightly different design than in Wenax, there is no latch, just a classic press-in seal. Wenax cartridges, due to their narrow design, meant that when pouring the, it could sometimes get stuck on the heater and, unfortunately, it would overflow. AN has a large, asymmetrical opening and a wide chamber, so you can quickly pour even thick without it overflowing. Most likely, any bottle will fit here, and even if not, the asymmetrical opening will prevent negative pressure from occurring and, as a result, the will not overflow. Interestingly, unlike Wenax, this cartridge does not have a vent hole. Or at least I haven't been able to find it yet. Closing the pouring hole theoretically completely closes the internal space for the. I wonder how the pressure is regulated here...
I haven't burned out the heater yet, so it's somehow cleverly hidden here. As for vaping itself, I dare say that the coils used in these cartridges are the same as in Wenax. The taste is really good, I have nothing to complain about. The cloud is juicy and thick, no taste note is missing, everything is in its place. Generally, it is a device with an unusual appearance, strongly referring to the Aegis, Legends, etc. lines. The manufacturer also praises its increased durability, although I did not find any mention of resistance certificates. I hope it will last in my pocket, because I decided not to save Wenax and it looks like a grenade explosion. Its beautiful decorations have worn off, it has a few holes in the casing, but it works well with me and I have nothing to complain about. Now I have a pod that should replace it with dignity and help me endure the hardships of everyday life better.
I don't think the battery will last longer than in Wenax, because even though it's 100mAh bigger, you can't cheat physics. After the first day, I can say that it is at least equal to its predecessor, but this may be the result of "new equipment", i.e. reaching for it more often to look at it and interact with it. To sum up, this is another good POD from the well-known GeekVape line, I'll leave it to you to decide whether it is worth switching to. I'm definitely changing, because I want to have a device that I can carry with wheel wrenches and its wear can be justified by difficult conditions, and not by its delicate casing. It gets 7.5/10 from me for its compact, ergonomic shape and good technical solutions. If it had a tastier 1.2 ohm heater and a slightly larger battery, it would get more.
