INTRODUCTION:
Today we have a novelty from ThunderHeadCreations or more commonly called THC, which is normally characterized by making its products quite "Powerful" and also very correct and well made.
This time he offers us the BLAZE RTA, a tank atomizer made in collaboration with Mike Vapes as Designer. With a fairly classic conception except for its “W” shaped Deck and which they have called “WOW” type and that wraps both coils on all sides except for the upper one. This “Blaze” is an RTA with a top air intake, with a lot of air, but with a slot-type adjustment that also allows you to restrict it a lot without a problem, the air diffuser has been placed on the deck. It also has 2 possibilities or types of Pyrex included in the kit and that give it good autonomy, even if it is a dual coil. The tightness must be predictably very good since it is an RTA with a top air intake and normally top entry RTAs are usually very, very tight, something very important for me.
Really, this “Blaze” piqued my curiosity since I learned of its existence and I told myself, you have to try it for yourself because it is one of those that particularly attracts me, since it brings together, at least under its initial characteristics, the dual being, watertight, good capacity and fairly small hood.
Now yes, after receiving it and being able to test it intensively for a week, I can tell you my feelings with it ;-)
How is it? How will it work? Well, let's go scan it ;-)

THE PRODUCT:
The New BLAZE RTA comes with correct and elegant Packaging, with a thick black cardboard box/gold letters and with a window that lets you see the product, there is not much else to highlight. When we open it, we find the atomizer and the spare Pyrex on the first floor. Once said floor has been removed from the box, we find the rest of the accessories.
In hand, it looks like a medium sized atomizer without being exaggerated, I personally find the design quite classic, beautiful, elegant and with all the moving parts textured for a better grip, well thought out in general. The machining and painting finishes are perceived to be good... but we are better going to describe it from top to bottom:
With a real diameter of 26mm in its cap, we find a very nice 810 Resin drip that includes a metal ring that gives it a touch of quality and good finish. The drip rests on a "plane" that guarantees a good integration whatever the Drip you want to put on it. Logically, for the public to which it is directed, it does not have a Drip 510 or an adapter to 510 since it would not make sense.
Once the lid is opened, which is screwed and does not reach 2 turns, we find some very good refill holes embedded in a regatta designed to retain the drippings from the bottle when refilling, thus being the cleanest refill because it does not you have to dry it or clean anything with a cloth after filling it, for example at street level.
Under the lid we already find the air regulation ring, very functional, effective with just the right hardness and with mechanical stops at its 2 ends. About it, tell you that it is very efficient and allows a very good adjustment of the shed, from very closed to excessively open even for me, but I prefer it that way, letting the user choose is what I find correct, I do not like the atos that manufacturers limit the maximum puff below your tastes, I think it should be the user who should be able to choose "his puff" in each case.
Further down we already find the Pyrex that is totally straight of 2.0 ml or bubble type and 5.5 ml depending on which one you mount, and although aesthetically the bubble type is not liked by anyone if its inclusion is very important for this type of atomizer since, as you can imagine, it has a great consumption and in this way the recharges are lengthened.
At the bottom we find the area that integrates with the Mod and houses the Deck. The THC integration measurement is determined at 24mm, but 25mm I think is more correct. This area seems to have 2 different parts due to the engravings, but in reality it is not, being a single piece, this is the area through which you must take it and press it to the Mod. Taking the Ato at this point and turning it a few times is how we will achieve open it and access its interior, leaving the Deck in sight. It is the hood that screws directly onto the base and inside it contains another easily removable sub-hood that has several functions, such as guiding the entry of outside air, preventing peeing and reducing the size of the hood to increase flavor.
On the deck we see a configuration of comfortable flat mounting, without posts and with a “W” shaped system that they have baptized as “WOW”. This system that includes air diffusers guarantees that the air hits the resistance in 270º of its circumference, The Allen screws included, very well
For your information, I will tell you that I have mounted the included 3mm resistances cut to 5mm and frankly they have not I liked it, later I mounted some 2.5mm handmade and I liked the thing more. About the Setup I can tell you that it is extremely simple as I have told you before, cutting the coils from 3mm to 5mm and those from 2.5mm to 5.5-6mm and very very easy, without drainage or peeing problems.
The flavor, the hit are, in my opinion, very very good, and about the steam I have to tell you that, as expected, it is a very rough Ato, but with “silky” vapors if you mount good coils. In my case, the adjustment that I liked the most was leaving the slot a little more oval, not round at all but a little.
MY PERSONAL CONCLUSIONS:
The BLAZE RTA, certainly to me, has convinced me and I have liked it a lot since it offers me all the things that I ask of a good RTA... that it has a very good flavor and hit, that it has a good generation of steam, that it is very tight and clean and that its filling makes things easy and clean for me if we add to all this a simple setup and good air regulation, we can say that it is a really great atomizer, that is if not suitable for lovers of POD's and MTL if you like that roll or you look a lot at the consumption of liquid, this is not your ato.
Although if it would be possible, it is not a tie to test how it goes in single coil, forget about it, it is a tie only for dual and period.
I think that THC and MIKE VAPES have done a very good job with this Ato, I really see it as a good product, yes, it is not suitable for all tastes, just like MTLs are not, either, but if you like great vapes with also a good taste, try it and you will not be disappointed.
Now with all the information, it is you who must decide if you want to incorporate it into your collection or directly pass on it.
POSITIVE POINTS:
- Good quality of machining, adjustments and finishes
- Very, very tight and without splashes
- I have not had any condensation in any inlet, very clean
- Very good air regulation adjustments, efficient and well achieved (GROSS)
- Very Vapor
- Good flavor
- Good drainage
- Quite silent air inlets, without hissing or shrill noise
- Easy, comfortable and clean liquid refilling at street
level - Simple setup, very very easy to perform and get the point
NEGATIVE POINTS AND/OR IMPROVEMENTS:
- This is not something qualifiable as a failure, but I would have liked the resistor screws to have been a little closer together since with more dynamic resistors (finer) and with only 4 or 5 turns they are a little too far apart and must be adjusted. This is very subjective but it is the only thing that I would really change, I have not found any fault with this RTA.
